BLOG-10. The Shell and the Glasses. "Death?"
Okay so pretty much…I’m dead. As strange as it sounds I’m hovering right above the island; it looks so much different from up here. Anyways, Diary, I decided I would tell you some of my opinions on some of the events that I have been observing. One event was when Ralph and Piggy were discussing my death. Ralph claimed that the boys murdered me, but Piggy claims that it was an accident. Ralph is freaking out because the boys murdered me and he is thinking about how much in trouble they’ll be if any adults find out. Piggy keeps saying that it was an accident. Both boys claim that they were not part of the incident and were outside of the circle from where I was being killed. That part is true.
As you may know, Jack has separated himself from Ralph’s tribe. Jack now has his own rules, and he is his own chief Jack and his tribe live in Castle Rock, which is a cave. One of the rules is that the hunters must guard the entrance and not let anyone else in outside of their own tribe. Whoever doesn’t listen to Jack, get’s beat up. Wilfred had been tied to a tree for hours and Jack was going to beat him up. Pretty much for no reason either.
Jack, Maurice, and Roger plan to crash on Ralph’s tribe. Meaning taking things that they want. Roger and Maurice were asking Jack how they were going to make a fire. Jack then explains that they’re going to steal Piggy’s specks. This is all happening during a storm!
So as planned, Ralph, Maurice, and Roger go to Ralph’s tribe when they’re in the shelters. Ralph beats up a boy, but turns out the boy really wasn’t part of Jack’s tribe. The good thing was that they didn’t take the conch. But instead they took Piggy’s specks! Now Ralph’s tribe can’t make a fire! Jack is such a cheater.
