Blog#8&9. Chapter 8: Gift for the Darkness & Chapter 9: A View to a Death. Blog. "Pig head?"

Blog Part #1:

I believe the most terrifying scene out of the three events that happens would be when Lord of the Flies talks to Simon. Lord of the Flies also happens to be strangely, a pig head. First, think about it, would you be freaked out if a pig head started talking to you? I think so. The pig head was on a stick and was in the woods because Jack and his hunters gave it as a offering for the beast, thinking that maybe the beast would leave them alone. Well, while Simon was in the woods by himself, the pig head started talking to him claiming it was the beast and teasing Simon that he couldn’t kill it. Not only did he tease him, but the pig head was telling Simon that the beast is really inside of him and everyone. The creepiest part was that everything was in Simon’s head. The Lord of the Flies wasn’t talking to him, but Simon thought he was. Everything was in Simon’s head, yet he didn’t know. In my opinion, that’s pretty crazy considering that a pig head is telling you that everyone has their darkness, but when in reality, its all in your head.

Blog Part #2:

I strongly believe that it is Jack’s fault for Simon’s death. One reason I believe this is because if the hunters were right in front of Simon, killing him, it’s not like they didn’t see him. Another reason is because Jack thinks Simon was the beast in disguise. But the main reason, is that Jack does not feel bad whatsoever. He blames it on Simon saying that it was his fault for coming out of the woods. I will explain my reasoning. First, let’s get to reality, you can tell a difference from a person and an animal, they had to know that it was a person from one of the groups. My next reasoning is since Jack thought Simon was the beast in disguise, it’s almost like he knew it was Simon. This is why I believe it was Jack’s fault. People do evil things, and Jack is one of those people that are dark inside.
